Our overall viability was also singled out with our deliberate and carefully considered approach to growth commended, whether through acquisition to address gaps or investment to drive innovation.
Our market understanding was another strength mentioned, with our ability to sense customer demand and be a first mover in response lauded. Our early investment in control towers and our continued pioneering approach to logistics sustainability were examples given to back up this assessment.
A key pillar in our approach to be the best choice for our customers and employees is the attention we give to environmental and social aspects related to our services and our work environment. Anticipating changing demands from our current and future workforce and backing it up with initiatives that help us to drive our ambitious environmental and social agenda was something Gartner drew particular attention to.
Areas for development
However, with praise also comes cautions, and we are increasing our efforts to leverage growth areas such as e-commerce, and continue to accelerate our already substantial technology investments.
The points raised by Gartner confirm that we are on the right track with our product development roadmap in particular in the areas of e-commerce, healthcare and digital platforms. Gartner’s as well as our customers’ feedback helps us to continuously improve and simplify how we present and explain the breadth of our individual capabilities, innovations and offerings with a clear focus on reinforcing the value adding nature of our services.
Everything we do aims to further facilitate and integrate logistics processes for the benefit of our customers and suppliers.
